I’m so late with this post, but anyway. The Faculty of Design of the Estonian Academy of Arts held another cool accessory exhibition KÄEATLAS/HAND ATLAS (available at Tali Design Store till 9 June 2017).
The ideas have been become final products under the supervision of Tanel Veenre and Helene Vetik during the spring accessories course. Among 15 designers are MA students with international backgrounds and of various specialities – jewellery and fashion, leather and glass, ceramics and product design.
Designers: Mirjam Aimla, Erinn M. Cox (USA), Kairi Katmann, Liis Kippar, Liisa Kivimäe, Pille Küngas, Sigrid Luitsalu, Kateriin Rikken, Silvia-Sigrid Sillaots, Jan-Christopher Soovik, Hansel Tai (China), Epp Marta Tarvis, Oksana Teder, Hanna-Maria Vanaküla, Linda Viikant.
What I personally like about this exhibition is its presentation. The small clay sculptures were the exact copies of each designer’s hands. Each stand looked both unique and intriguing at the same time, as if designers personally presented their work to me.
