These pictures from Riga Fashion Week almost got lost among all other pictures. That was the day when three fashionistas (together with Helene and Aljona) rocked Riga city. All outfits looked bold and somehow extravagant. I chose to stick to my beloved boho style – oversized eyewear, tassel earrings and hanging necklaces, lace, and a long vest with ethnic print… Not a very common outfit for a Baltic representative. Some say that boho is not the style you’re wearing, but the way of life you’re living. But when talking about fashion, this retro-bohemian tendency is getting trendier on catwalks starting from pret-a-porter (Gucci, Roberto Cavalli) and ending with haute couture (Versace, Valentino). Do you know why this style is getting more and more popular? Because it allows to express one’s personality to the maximum, no restrictions. Fashion is limitless. If you want to stay in the mainstream dressing style, add some boho details that will make it look funky and slightly retro-elegant. Don’t hesitate to try out this free-spirited fashion (borrowed from hippies) during the summer period!

Еще бы чуть-чуть, и эти фотографии затерялись бы среди множества других с Рижской недели моды. В этом «богемном» образе мы прогуливались с Хелене и Аленой по Риге. Сказать, что наша тройка выглядела экстравагантно, ничего не сказать. В моем случае – объемные очки, много всяких украшений, кружево и накидка с этно-рисунком… Не самый привычный образ для городского жителя Прибалтики. Правильно говорят, что бохо-шик – это, скорее, состояние души, а не стиль одежды. Но если интерпретировать его на язык моды, то сейчас ретро-бохо на пике популярности. Удивительно, но в стиле бохо творят не только дизайнеры прет-а-порте (Gucci, Roberto Cavalli), но и те, кто выпускает кутюрные линии (Versace, Valentino). А знаете, почему это направление такое популярное? За счет своего многообразия и отхода от правил. Это как смешать все стилистические направления в одном и добавить нотку винтажности. Вот и получится полнейшая эклектика.
